Her toes weren't pretty enough!

The other day Lydia said to me, "Mommy will you paint my toe."
I told her that would. So I went and got the nail polish and brought it in on my bed and painted her toes. When I finished I just set the closed bottle down on my bed by us and started playing with her and Anna and forgot about the nail polish. After a little bit of playing Anna started to get fussy so I got up and took her to change her and get her a bottle. 15 minutes later I went to check on Lydia thinking she had left my room also. I came down the hallway to find her with the nail polish painting her own toe nail! She said she wanted them to be more pretty! So does anyone know how to get nail polish out of sheets. It's a good thing that i hadn't made my bed yet.
Gotta love my Lydia! I really need to learn to put thing up as soon as we are done with them!

My little Dancer

Caitlyn had her first dance performance of the year. She did such a great job I was so proud of her. She has learned a lot since last year. She absolutely loves it! Dancing definitely fits my little princess to a tee! Plus she look so cute with her curls up there on stage!

New Christmas tradition

For Nathan's sister Nicole's birthday we went up to this is the place state monument of their candle light christmas. Oh I loved it so much! It is something that I want to take my children to every year. It had crafts to do, father christmas (Santa Claus), and two live reindeer which was great. But the thing I loved about it most was that it brought back the true meaning of christmas. They told of the tradition in the pioneer days. It made me think of how little they had and how much we have now it gave me alot to be greatful for. I especially loved the live nativity they had. There definately was a christmas spirit there! I love it and would recomend it to all.

My little Artist

The other day I was down stairs for a few minutes doing laundry. I came upstairs to some new art. Lydia had decided to color all the way from my fridge, up one side of my hall way and down the other. Thankfully the Mr. Clean magic eraser works and took it right off! If it didn't I would probably have to paint every room in my house. I don't know what her fascination is with coloring on walls. I can make sure that I have every thing that you can possibly write or color with put away and out of her reach. Some how she always manages find one. I have lots of coloring books and paper to color on but no she has to do it on one of my many white walls! I guess that gives me another reason to paint though so I can't complain too much.
